Ideas when we can start the pre-approval for IUP for X?

For the iPhone 8, for people who are currently enrolled in the Apple iPhone Upgrade plan, you could use the Apple Store app to get per-approved for an upgrade, select the iPhone 8 model, carrier, etc, and basically be all ready to just check out on the day of pre-order. Anyone have an idea/guess when Apple will let us do that for the iPhone X?
 
Why do you need it to be pre-approved? Thought you just reserve it and thats it? Is it a long process to get sorted?
 
You don't HAVE to get IUP pre approved but its a HUGE benefit for you to do it. Once u get it all set up and pre applied, you literally click "submit ordeR" as soon as the store opens and you are done, ordered, i got my wife's i8 in on like minute 1 because i didn't have to fill out any BS just one single click.

Dmal99 - Do you recall what steps you did when the store opened? Do you just go to "Bag" or "Account"

When the app opens you don’t even need to go to bag or account. It just popped up and said complete order on the bottom, you click a submit button, you do Touch ID and that’s it

What I did for the 8 Plus was make it a favorite in the Apple store on my desktop, then it appeared as a favorite in the app.

Does anyone remember how soon the IUP pre-qualification opened up before the pre-order date of the iPhone 8? I am hoping we can start to get pre-approved in the Apple Store app soon.

Also, for anyone who used the IUP to get the 8, did it let you have the option of it being shipped to you, and then you ship back your old phone? Or did you have to select pick up in store?

Thank you for posting this, I have been trying to find some info on it.
 
My wife and I switched to the IUP plan last year when we each got an iPhone 7. We both would like an X. Does anyone know if I'll be able to complete both transactions at once, from one (my) iPhone or will I need to do a single transaction from each phone?
