hi all. I've never handled a sport strap and am going to go to cex tomorrow to try buy one (used), I'm pretty sure they are real as I doubt they deal with fakes.

Is there any tell tale ways of making sure the strap is genuine apple and not a third party ? Do they have any Apple branding on them ?

After having a quick look at mine, I would say the biggest tell is that many of the fake ones do not have the sizing on the inside.

They are also a little thinner, but if you have never held a real one you can't tell. The fake ones have more visible mold lines than the real ones.

Hope that helped a little.

They generally have the boxes for most things. My Milanese loop and Classic buckle were both boxed. Sport bands prob the same. They are pretty thorough about examining things generally.

Well, I popped into CEX today and they only had one black sports in stock, no box and was grade a bit looked a bit too worn. Declined it in the end
