Thanks for the link - I have tried all these suggestions as well as every other option I can find from googling this issue - still encountering a top d/l speed of about 2-3Mbps on both my iPhone and iPad compared to the 20+Mbps on my Mac. I've tried every combination of g only, n only, b/g/n, g/n, etc. and every channel, have tried disabling the QOS Engine on my router, etc. etc. etc. Nothing helps.

Very frustrating seeing others having no problem getting their full wifi capability and being so crippled.

For those of you with blazing speed - what kind of routers/settings do you have?

Mine still does not reach the potential of what my IMac gets. I average about 8-10 dl and 2.5-4 ul. Although those settings from Apple seemed to have helped a little I've never got over 20mb dl. Maybe the Speedtest app is not so accurate. Mine seems to fluctuate a lot when I open the app and see the speeds being calculated.

I've always had the same problem on my iPhone and iPad ever since I bought them. I just got 2-4Mbps using a couple different servers on my iPhone and I can get 20Mbps on my MBA. I'm running an AEBS with updated firmware and I'm sitting in the same spot. Its been like this since the iPad launched.

Somebody shod post screenshots or something of the set ups they have on their airports or other routers.
My iP4 only get 2 up at best on wifi. I even tried to use the guest account (airport extreme) for my phone only to no avail. Now that I know iPhone. An handle 50up, I know I could do better than 2.

Come on people! Let's share those settings!

Also, for those that didn't know, you can DL airport utility off iTunes and admin your router from your iOS device.

Comes in handy...

On my AEBS under internet tab. TCP/IP I set DNS servers to 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8
DHCP lease set to 10 days.

Under wireless I have radio mode as 802.11n only 5GHZ and 802.11n only 2.4 GHZ. I set channels to Manual and selected 149 and 8. Wireless Security to WPA2 Personal.

My speeds on my iMac, iPhone and iPad are all between 25 to 30 Mbs download and 5 Mbs upload.

I am having speed issues as well. It seems that devices on wireless (iPhone, iPad, MBP, MBA) are at 2mbps download and ~1mbps upload. Our iMac is connected to the router and is at 12+mbps download and 8mbps upload. I'm not sure what exactly the problem is. It could be the router that we use is out of date or just not a good one. I only noticed it was that much slower when I connected my iPad to my iPhone 4S hotspot and was able to download the Daily app news for the day about 10 times faster then over our wifi.

1. Can any one recommend a good router?
2. Can any one recommend a fix? I've tried OpenDNS but it was the same with that configured.

EDIT: I tweaked some settings in my router and now I am peaking at 5/3 dl/ul. This is probably the highest I'll get on my current setup but if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT 2: The 5/3 speeds are only on my MBP. On my iPhone and iPad they are still the slow speeds mentioned before.
