Idiot walks into glass door

Yep, close to doing that myself more than once

Exit strategies are not always intuitive... so you do have to pay attention!
They like you to find your way IN and you have to look for a way OUT

I've done similar, in my own house!

I was in a hurry to get outside on a hot summer day and get in the pool where my friends were waiting for me. So I slid the glass door open and proceeded to ram right into the SCREEN door. Knocked it right off its tracks with a huge splat with me on top of it right onto the concrete. It hurt but boy did we laugh.

Clumsiness can make for the big funnies in life.

that's what they get for being annoying fingerprint-leaving glass touchers. Use the friggin handles! :p

That was funny though.
 
I've seen this video hundreds of times. On IRC, whenever someone tries to get into a channel they don't have access to, we say that they walked into a glass door. :D We immediate post a link to that video for "lulz."
 
Been there done that a time or two. :eek:

Back home, we had a large picture window that was between two trees. In the summer, every once in a while, we would hear a bird crash into the window at full speed. Most of the time they just knocked themselves out. Occasionally, one would die.

Felt sorry for the birds so I went out between the trees and got up on a ladder so that I could see from the birds perspective during that time of day. It was surreal. It really looked like they were flying between 4 trees (2 on each side) due to the pristine clear reflection.

We tried some ideas but nothing seemed to work until one of the trees was cut down (for other reasons).

On a side note, sometimes the window was really messy after a hard collision. Knocked the poop right out of them.

Yeah, I ran full-steam into a door while trying to be on-time for a movie at the cinema. The sun was setting, and wall of glass windows and glass doors (like 10 panes of glass.....it's a big cinema) reflected the pinkish sky. Well I couldn't see s***, and slammed into it. I fell on my back and actually felt a bit dizzy as well, but my friends were there to make sure I was ok.......and to laugh at me. :p
 
This was actually a common occurrence at CompUSA (where the video was shot) because they just built a vestibule into the store, and use a plain, unadorned glass panel between the registers and the front door. Most companies that have subsequently rented the CompUSA have obscured the window or removed it entirely.

I would be that idiot: I walk into glass walls all the time. Places that are all beautiful glass walls stress me the most. I definitely feel that one day I will go crashing through a glass wall much like the chase scene in Blade Runner.

Also, the straps on my jackets and bags always get caught on turnstalls, revolving doors-- even doorknobs.

last time i did this... i was carrying a pedalboard and '65 deluxe reverb haha. atleast the glass didn't shatter.

It was just so clean and clear! :D
