iDisk Share Files vs. Public Folder

What's the real difference/advantage to choosing 'Share File' instead of just putting it in the public folder? And, two other miscellaneous questions:

1. Can a user upload a file onto my public folder?

2. Can I password protect my public folder?

With share file you can password protect "just that file"

If you use your public folder, other users have access to ALL of the files in your public folder...

Yes - other users can upload files to your public folder

Yes - you can password protect your public folder in MM/syst pref's

From OSX Help:

Opening an iDisk Public folder
You can open another MobileMe member’s Public folder to see and copy files. If the member has set access privileges to read-write, you can also add and remove files.

To access another person’s Public folder, you need to know his or her member name and Public folder password (if a password is used).

To open a Public folder:

To make sure you are in the Finder, click the desktop (the background area of your screen).

Choose Go > iDisk > Other User’s Public Folder.

Type the member name of the person whose Public folder you want to open.

Click Connect.

If a password is required, type it in the Password field and click OK.

The person’s Public folder opens on your desktop.
