I'm just posting this in case others are having this problem and are getting the same delays from MobileMe support. I contacted them on September 10 (11 days ago) and after an hour "chatting" was elevated to email tech support. My iDisk (on all 3 computers) and only my iDisk, not my wifes or the Apple test account, won't sync. I recently upgraded to 10.6 on all 3 computers. I do not encounter error messages but the status remains "Syncing iDisk ..... checking items" without changing. Anyone else have a similar problem? I'm amazed that they could spend 11 days working on something like this, but who knows how much is going on behind the scenes.
