iDVD aspect ratio problem

I am making a simple iDVD - I have used an ordinary 4:3 (the Western looking one) template, but for some reason the .mov file I am putting in is displaying as widescreen preview, then I burned it and it's also in 16:9 though the .mov file is a quicktime PAL standard 4:3. I have checked preferences and it is saying it is standard. I have been working in 16:9 in FCP which is my editing program, but not with this project. Can someone please tell me how to make my movie display and burn as 4:3? 😕
