IDVD Dual Layer Burn help needed

I've got a project I need to burn but it won't give me the option of burning a dual layer disc. I've gone to the "project info" menu and I get no pop up for choosing my media. I've also gone to system profiler to find out about my drive and it says this:

My project currently says it is 5.2 GB of 4.0 GB in size. I've got dual layer media. Any ideas here? I'm using iDVD 5.0.1.

Are you using +R DL discs? You drive seems not to support -R DL discs.

Also you can try using this driver:

http://www.patchburn.de/

Which uses altrnate drivers to allow 3rd party units ( yours seems to be supported, obviously, but it's something to try )

well i found the file on the french page, but the instructions are in french. lol
