iDVD widescreen

After creating my movie in iMovie 08 as "widescreen" and then sharing it to the Media Browser--when I burn it on iDVD as "widescreen", it doesn't come out as "widescreen." I checked with the genius at the Apple Store and was told that is a bug in the software. Does anybody know about this?

Had the same issue when I viewed my DVD on a HD TV . It basically cropped into a 4:3 size but when I watched it on a regular TV it showed as a letter box format.
