Heya there guys and gals.

A odd thing has happened. iDVD just no longer works. You click on it and it pops up for a sec, a little triangle comes under like the program has loaded and then it disappears...

Everything else works fine. From iPhoto, to iMovie and iWeb etc but just no more iDVD....what gives and what can I do besides having to reinstall iLife 08 again?

# Erase the following folders from your hard drive:

* /Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 1
* /Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 2
* /Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 3
* /Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 4

I just had the * /Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 1

Thats it

and from

# Erase the following folder from your home directory:

* ~/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Installed Themes
* ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.idvd

I dont even have such a file by ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.idvd

I'm not worried about the caches, but you should have the Application Support files... Have you used any system cleaning apps recently? Maybe reinstalling iDVD will get it back on its feet. :eek:

I agree. Also, after you re-install iDVD, do not open it. Go straight to Software Update and get the iDVD update. Then give it a shot.
