I was reminiscing about old macs today, and fondly remembered the mac IIfx from back in the early 90's. That machine had a $9k starting price, but it was the de-facto choice for every graphics artist back then. What would a new flagship look like, if Apple made one?

Core 2 Duo 1.6ghz, 1Gb Ram and a 5400 128gb spinner.

Seriously, though, the specs for the dream Apple pro are already online. Someone just needs to slap some sense into the cuatro amigos.
And, BTW, the only Apple computer that I've ever had on my desk was a IIfx. It wasn't mine, it was loaned to me by a Nobel prize winner so that I could help him set up some analytics programs.

The components would be the same as Nintendo Classic Mini but the case would be egg shaped and it would say Mac Pro Mini on it.
And don't forget that Apple already has a $10K flagship model....
Unfortunately, it's three to four year old hardware for $10K.

I'd be more interested to know who would pay that price? I am assuming a professional. For that price it should include FCP, Logic, Photoshop suite, or some other pro app.

i really don't think they'd consider the watch as their flagship. and it's a marketing term to begin with.
