Also, there was no receipt mailed to me. How does this work?

Also is it 14 days from the day I received it in hand at my door?

Your receipt is available online. They can also look it up at the store. But it must be returned to Apple within 14 days of receipt.

So I can't return it at AT&T even though Thad's who I'm paying for it? What about the receipt part?

No, since they didn't sell it to you.

The receipt should be have been emailed to you.

How can ATT issue a refund since they didn't initiate the transaction?

If you purchased through Apple.com, you will need to return it through Apple. Apple can look it up using the serial number.

You bought it at Apple. You say you are paying ATT for it but ATT pays apple to sell your the phone subsidized or make payments to ATT.

You return to Apple and Apple only.

Keep in mind, if you purchased online, you CANNOT return in store, you HAVE to return via the online store.

This is incorrect.

The website may state differently but every Apple Rep I've talked to over the phone and chat said I could return mine in store, so I did. And it worked.

Why are you returning it?

Too big. I like the speed and screen size but it's much less comfortable to hold. Also, there are numerous bugs with iOS 8 that are almost too much to put up with much longer. I have no way of knowing when they will be fixed. Most importantly the keyboard shortcuts not syncing. I have literally hundreds and autocorrect has gotten worse since iOS 7. It's painful without them.

I bought a phone online with local pickup and was able to return it to my local apple store.

That's not the iPhone 6's fault and if you go to a smaller iPhone you'll have the same issue (other then an older iPhone running iOS7)

I still have my Jailbroken 4S running 7.1.2.

Thanks, I was curious because I'm still contemplating on a 6+, 6, and even a 5S. Are you going back to your old iPhone then?

No prob. You might go to the Apple Store and check it out, it might fit in your hand comfortably it's just hard for me. Super nice having the big screen, speed and light weight though.

I'm not sure, my old 4S for now, might try to snag a used 5/5S off eBay if I can get a hundred or 2 for my 4S which I got in February so it's in great shape, also Jailbroken so it's rare.

Well, I would just hold on a bit because Apple should be releasing the 8.1 today or tomorrow for numerous bug fixes as well.

Will that be the final release for a while so they can start working on the jb?
