I'm about to buy Leopard, but given that the 10.5.2 update was announced only 10 days or so, I'm wondering if Apple would ship any remaining 10.5.1 discs instead of a 10.5.2 disc.

I obviously would prefer to get an installer that upgrades me to the latest version, rather than upgrading to lepard and then having to upgrade to 10.5.2.

If Apple is shipping MacOS X 10.5.2, then that is what you will receive if you buy MacOS X 10.5. But, this is really a non-issue. You should immediately run Software Update which will update all of your Apple-supplied software.

I think there is still a lot of 10.5.0's going about. Doesn't really matter, as long as you update as soon as you install Leopard as MisterMe said.

It isn't as if you have to download 10.5.1 and install it, then download 10.5.2 then install it. You just download the combo update which installs all previous updates in one big go.

Same applies when 10.5.3 is out, if you reinstall and your Leopard DVD has 10.5.0 the combo update brings all updates in one big go to 10.5.3.

Just buy it and stop worrying :p
