iCloud If I delete a folder on one computer, will the folder get deleted on all - iCloud Drive?

I have a large photos folder that I wanted to get rid of on one laptop. Ive noticed that same folder now on my Studio and even iPad Pro!

That's great, I think. Does it mean I can delete the folder from my MBP and it will still stay on my iPad and Studio? Or will it all sync and I lose everything?

If that folder is being synced with iCloud, either in iCloud Drive or with Documents and Desktop sync turned on, then deleting on one machine will delete it everywhere.

I suspect this is the case since you mentioned the folder recently showed up on the other machines and if you are an iCloud user for other things that is the most likely explanation.
