Will it kill whatever flu bug is inhabiting my throat/lungs?

I mean if I let it glide down my throat, won't the alcohol kill the germs?

It might if you inhaled it. But then you'd die, which would be fairly annoying.

You could have a vodka sauna! Oh, hang on, though, there's some evaporation thing wrong with that. Can you get alcohol vapour? <thinks back to school>...I can't remember.

I don't know. If you drink it, the worst thing that will happen is that you drank some vodka. Which is no bad thing....:D

edit: great minds, etc. :) 3 of us all saying "hheyyy! drink it! why not! heh heh.

I don't think so, but it might make the flu a bit more bearable... ;)

If you wash it down with lots, and lots of orange juice it might actually do you some good, too... :)

this makes me want to get a drink, stupid traffic safety school online course! stupid cold weather
stupid feeling sick.

:D

Although it may not "cure" your cold it will make you totally forget its there. I was sick thru the thanksgiving holiday weekend and had to go to a wedding, at the reception i had a few too many and lets just say i forgot all about the cold i had.

Hope you feel better, mix some OJ with the vodka since they do say to drink lots of Orange Juice... :D

Actually I'd recommend Spirytus Rektyfikowany for medicinal purposes. Has a lovely warming effect, but this stuff is *lethal*. Don't have too much and do not breathe anywhere near a naked flame  :D

Well I just did two shots out of the freezer.

I'll let you know the results.

Is Grey Goose a good brand (I don't usually drink)?

Ooooh

Don't think I've ever had Grey Goose. My preferred brands are Wyborowa or Absolut. Mmmmm.

Actually, I think if I follow those shots with a Percoet, I might really forget I am sick. But then again, I have an a.m. deadline for some work. Blah.

I was in the bank yesterday making a deposit, and it sounded like an infirmary in there.

Bad bug season - and early, too.

*swirls in Vodka goodness*

Actually the alcohol will lower your immune system.

But I highlt recommend taking Airborne (even though it's meant to prevent it has so many things inside it is great for you) and this: http://www.oscillo.com/

I took this twice a day and airborne about 5 times a day and the only symptom I have is a bit of a stuffy nose, nothing else.

That airborne/zycam stuff just seems like mumbo jumbo labeled in a box and sold to people that think it can actually do what it says. I am surprised the FDA hasn't cracked down on those two companies, it has no real studies to back up its claims. I'll stick with tried and true medications, they seem to show results for me at-least :p

And yes Alcohol will lower your immune system, but you will feel better temporarily :p One side note is that my hangover/morning after was 10x worse being sick and drinking, beware Gary :D

I've tried oscillo before with no good effects. I think I'll just get wasted. :D

Nice thing is, I am a lightweight, so two shots just did me right.

Well don't stop now...You should mix some freshly-squeezed orange juice with the vodka. Yeah...drink a glass of that every hour. That way you'll get plenty of vitamin C and a dose of real medicine.

Alcohol does kill germs to some extent but unfortunately the bug is in your "system" in places the alcohol can't reach...

That being said, I think you would feel at little better at least temporarily-some people swear by brandy for sore throat and congestion, you might want to try it.
