You should be fine with that size/generation - the recent EVO update reflected in the generation you purchased has dramatically better write speeds than the (orange/white label) generation EVO it replaced. If write speeds are still too slow, or the absolute best reliability is a must-have, then you will want the PRO.

No differently than your Mac's internal SSD, be sure you are backing the SD card up, as they can and do fail.

That is good to hear that it is an updated version.

I created a new library onto the SD card and started backup, thinking that it would automatically backup to the SD card, but it said there's not enough space on my computer to back up, which means that it's trying to back up to the MBP's internal storage.

How can you make it backup to the SD card?

i only have 7GB left on my MBP. The SD is 64GB.

The backup I was referring to was to an external hard drive using a program like Time Machine, so that if the internal SSD or the SD card failed, you would not lose your files. You would perform this through the Time Machine menu.

You will want to free some space on the computer for sure - that little free space can result in slower performance, accelerated SSD wear, and can contribute to a wide range of functional problems.

I am trying to backup my iPhone. I will buy another HDD and its backup version sooner or later.

Are you trying to back the iPhone up to the SD card? If so, IIRC, the way to do this is to first create a new library, holding the 'option' key when clicking on iTunes, creating and directing it to the library on the external media device/drive.
