Can't you just get a free google voice number, and then use an app like Talkatone to have free WiFi calling on your iPhone?

Wifi calling would be cool. At least you can use vonage to make free outbounding calls with your regular phone number.

Wifi calling on T-Mobile is a blessing because so many areas don't have a strong T-Mobile signal indoors. Other solutions don't offer as complete integration with you existing cell phone number.

People keep saying we'll have to wait until iOS 8. Let's hope not.

    Cheers,

That's a different number, and requires you to go into a seperate app, making calls from a number none of your contacts are familiar with. Yes, you CAN do it that way, but it has many drawbacks.

O2 UK offers this with their 'TU Go' app.

No idea where you're from or which network you're with, but others may have similar apps?
