I don't care if other people buy this device. Do what makes you happy.

For me, it's just hypocrisy that has made me bow out for now. Tim Cook jumps into social issues with plenty of ump but using tax haven countries? The companies ethics are not the ones I'd trust.

Screaming about Qualcomm royalties, cutting off paying them, then charging us more? More wonderful ethics.

I still own and use Apple products but right now I don't agree with some decisions they are making.

Yawn. No one has posted how much profit Apple makes from each iPhone X. That was my goal in creating this thread. I am not here arguing why Apple shouldn't make a profit. Again, what's the margin of profit on the iPhone X? It's mindbogling how many irrelevant, nonsensical comments have been posted on this thread. 🙄

Let's say I buy $370 worth of exactly the same BOM, if I can even do so without volume and access to the IP, I highly doubt I can make myself an iPhone X in 200 years.

This means the price Apple has charged me is an incredible bargain for access to such technology.

You ‘feel’ but you don’t know that for a fact. Unless, you work for Apple’s accounting department, you wouldn’t know that.

This post is just using logic; it's logical that iPhone X R&D (which has been going on for years) was higher than some of the more recent, more iterative updates. Just because a lot of people broke down your argument from the original post doesn't mean you have to attack basic logic here.
