If my macbook pro 16 arrives with Big Sur, will I be able to downgrade it? Most of the stories I see of downgrading are the people that upgraded to Big Sur. I am curious if it arrives with Big Sur can I downgrade it. Thanks for any info.

The *current* MBP 16"? Yes. Whatever nebulous M1-based MBP 16" Apple might release next week or further on? Certainly not.

The current-design Intel MBP 16" originally shipped with Catalina as the factory-installed OS.

So I will guess that you can "take it back" to Catalina, but that's as far as you'll be able to go.

Let us know how you like it. I'm overall satisfied with my 16" with the 5500m, but always wondering if I should have maxed out the graphics card.
