It would be handy if the Apple pencil could do this. 53 Pencil attaching magnetically.

LOL. Very good point. yet another thing I wasted money on.

I think the concept of plugging the Apple Pencil directly into the iPad Pro Lightning port is crazy, although they say it takes minutes to charge, I still think its not the most secure way of charging the pencil. Kind of like how iPhone docks are designed, being supported upright by only the Lightning port is not the best way in my opinion.

The pencil doesn't weigh much at all. I had it go from 30% to 100% charged in <5 minutes. It works well, and when you get yours you will see.

I think the point of charging via the lightning port is so when you're using it you can still get a quick charge if you don't have a lightning cable, adapter, and charger with you. It's far more convenient when all you need is a little more juice. When you have a cable, charger, and the adapter with you and need to charge, there's no need to plug the Pencil into the iPP's lightning port.
