As I said before, I thought it was relevant since it's good to scope out the current status of Apple's competition. I know people are saying that they already know all about Windows since they've used them at work and in the past. But I'm talking about competitors' *current* offerings for *personal* use. And I thought it was interesting to note that I found more compelling offerings for what's supposed to be Apple's bread and butter: multimedia convergence (especially music). As one poster mentioned above, everyone has different needs and since I was specifically looking to optimize around multimedia and non-gaming entertainment, it's relevant not just to me but to anyone else that has similar preferences.
