I don't want to miss out on getting a dream machine if they put MacBook Pro into an Air body by spring, but at the same time I'm 100% PC now -- and I want to get started ASAP learning Xcode.

If you were to buy something now (13" or 15", MBP or Air, 2011 late or early) knowing you may have to resell it trying to get back as much $$ as possible in 6 months or less... what would you take the risk with? Or... do you think it's all about the same difference? Refurbished is probably better in this case, right? Since I'll have to resell as "used" anyway?

Comments and suggestions appreciated.
I don't think mac in the cloud dot com rental is feasible, because some places I study from don't have Wifi :/ could hurt productivity.

The less you spend on it the better off you'll be. They all decrease at roughly the same percentage, so the smallest original amount, the less you will lose.
