I'm selling my phone and was wondering if doing a reset is enough to wipe out all my data? I checked and didn't say anything other than my number when I went under settings/general. I even tried syncing it to a new itunes account just to be on the safe side.

let me know if I need to do anything else.

Thanks

erase all data and settings...that's all you need to do...and keep your sim card...then it will have to be set up through iTunes

Everyone keeps saying to keep the SIM card, why? The iPhone doesn't store personal data on the SIM card.

you'd be surprised at what information can be harvested from a sim card...and at how irresponsible carriers don't disable old sims in a timely fashion

Yes from most SIM cards but again, the iPhone doesn't put data on it. And you can tell right away if the SIM card was deactivated by the carrier.
