I think it varies unit by unit. The one I got is in good condition overall (i.e., no visible scratches out of the box), but the gaps between the glass and the bezel is just ever so slightly different across the 4 sides of it. In other words, it's not perfectly centered, but we are of course talking about fractions of millimeters.

What's the public's view on this? Curious.

How about some photos to illustrate your point ?
Hard to capture it on a photo, but I've tried. You would be able to fit a piece of paper on the side of the crown, not on the other side.

I've seen this on many units actually.

Must admit I can’t see it on mine.

That said there will always be a fraction of a gap for the glass to fit. I’ve noticed the same on my iPhones.

So I thought I was a crazy. I’m getting stuff stuck on the side and thought it was only me. Interesting

I consider that I have OCD to a certain degree. I looked carefully to my Ultra and noticed that the screen is closer to the crown side and the gap is slightly more on the action button side. However, if it wasn't for this post, I wouldn't have notice the difference.

Now that I have noticed, it doesn't bother me at all. Well, maybe I was being too hard on myself for having OCD. 😀

I don’t think any of them are perfectly centered (even the phones aren’t). I’ve been able to slide a piece of paper on one side, but not the other side of the Ultra, Series 8, Series 7 etc. In fact the 7 and 8 don’t seem to set them flush all the way around either. You can feel the lip/edge of the case meeting case on one side/corner, but it’s smooth on the other. Just build variance I guess.

I didn’t even notice until I saw this thread. I don’t have OCD, so it doesn’t bother me.

On the picture it looks the other way around, like the gap is one the other side.

I never noticed the .05mm its off until these threads. Doesn't bother me as I don't often spend time with my eyes 2" from the watch face looking for imperfections.

Thanks for taking precise measure anyways ;-)
