For iPhone 4 users because our one year warranty ends in June, and we gotta go through June, July and August without a warranty. Seems like Applecare is a must buy if the next iPhone releases in Sept.

Makes me wonder if people who are using the 3GS have Applecare too?

Yes, this 3GS owner does, but since I bought the phone on launch day (I think June 16th), AC will expire long before the new iPhone comes along. I'm going to take my 3GS in for a check-up before, but I'll just hope it continues to work well until I can buy iP5. I still have my launch day original iPhone, but I suspect the battery must be dead on it since I haven't touched it since the 3GS arrived.

Um.. I just bought my iPhone 4 last week. My warranty better not end in JUNE!!!!!!

Oops I meant for people that bought it in June.

Exactly.

Also OP, why did you buy a new black iPhone 4? Don't you want the shiny new magical white iPhone 4? :p

I bought it without using my upgrade. Plus the white looks strange to me. Even more now after those pictures on page 1.

I tend not to buy AppleCare for iPhones, mainly because I've always ended up upgrading the phone. But if you're super paranoid, you might as well grab it. The good news is that it stays with the phone even if you sell it, so it might help your resale value a tad when you decide to upgrade.

I also think dealer undercoatings for cars are for shmucks.

Well, they are a scam, and those who get it are gullible. But schmucks??? (OBTW, this is the correct spelling).

I spell it the Canadian way. Dang Yanks.
