I would like to think that Apple learned their lesson the first time the Activation servers crashed, but then again, the volume of the iPhone 4 seems to be unimaginable. BEcause of that, I seriously hope I get my phone early, I want to get inb404 Lol

Haven't the servers for activation crashed EVERY year? They don't learn apparently. ;)

Apple doesn't run the AT&T servers that actually send out the activations OTA to the iPhones.

Considering there were 10x as many preorders as last year, I don't think it's as much "learning" as it is not being worth the overhead to buy more servers for one day of the year.

When I was talking to the local Apple Store manager earlier today I asked about this... with so many people around the country hitting AT&T all at the same time... and his only comment was "...should be fun!" :p
