Even if they did update the CPU/GPU, I can't imagine it to be a big update that will boost performance by a lot.

Probably the NVidia GT 130M found in the iMac's. It would be a letdown to see the GT 120M (It's a letdown to see any NVidia card really, ATI FTW).

As with all things Apple, few outside Apple have any idea, and those who do have all signed non-disclosure agreements.

However, as mentioned, it's not likely to be all that soon, but it's also not improbable that an upgrade will occur near the Snow Leopard OS release, either before to spur purchases in the lull before the release, or shortly thereafter so people will buy a new Mac instead of just the OS.
