Have some old (were talking about 15-20 tracks) from 2006-2008 that are still the DRM versions. just logged into that apple ID on my iPad and I can see that some of them are already on my iPad and for the ones that aren't I can download them from iCloud. So if that's the case, if I delete the original DRM files from my main pc that has iTunes on it and re-download them from the iCloud, will they then be DRM free versions or will it just download the original DRM versions?

If they were all matched (any uploads will be the same file) and if all current iTunes versions are DRM free then you will be downloading the DRM free version.
