I was using chrome, and kept refreshing the apple store, only to get the "we'll be right back crap, updating crap"

switched to safari, and boom went to apples website, no lag, nothing got my phone pretty quick.

Yea I was using chrome and kept seeing that update aswell. Switched to Safari and was able to order right away!

I had to switch from safari too chrome it worked perfectly from there Safari still doesnt load..

Yep ended up going right to the att site and got right in without issue. Still getting the store closed sign at apple.com.

Picked up my wifes phone on the app pretty much right at 2400 but can't add lines there.

Try it from an incognito window on Chrome. I saw somebody mention that on here and it worked for me.
