If you buy the watch now what are you gonna do to it when gen2 comes out?
Keep it (don't know which model yet) I have nearly every watch I've ever bought or been gifted. I've got the 1972 Mickey Mouse watch that my parents gave me when I was 5. We were really poor so it was quite a gift especially for a five year old. My collection isn't really of any value to most collectors because I didn't keep original boxes or maintain the watches very well. But it's fun to see my journey through the 70's, 80's, 90's-present preserved in popular watch styles of each era.
In all that time I only gave away a couple of watches. One really special one to a cousin who isn't very nice and doesn't like me. It was an offering of friendship and since she turned out to be a nasty piece of work I regretted it and haven't parted with a watch since, except for two recent thrift store donations that don't really reflect my personal history in any way.
don't u think there is a historical significance of the watch to keep it? First device post steve jobs, first wearable smart watch etc.
