Well, it finally happened. I recently started a new job and was given my first iphone ever as a work phone. It is a black iphone 8 256 running on Verizon.

I've been a 100% android guy since the G1, and my first tablet was an HP Touchpad running WebOS (still have it) so this will be an interesting foray into apple's ecosystem for me.

My current daily driver is a ZTE Axon 7 on T-Mobile. My impressions so far... I've been pleased for the most part by the phone call quality so far (i haven't made many calls yet), and the size of the phone makes it easy to slip into my front pocket.

I haven't yet mastered navigating through different screens and apps, but I will hopefully pick that up with time.

My first order of business will be to find some spare lightning cables for charging.... i'd like to go 3rd party in order to save some $$$

As a huge Anker fan - I highly recommend these as well. Get a powerline+ for heavy duty if you need it, otherwise the basic Anker cables do really well - I've not had one conk out on me while all my Apple Cables seem to last a few years then die/fray.

I have a Toughtested braided 6’ cable that has shown absolutely no signs of wear, despite a couple of years of use and abuse. I would definitely buy another when the time comes

I just take advantage of wireless charging. If you do want a bunch of cheap lightning cables however Amazon Basics would probably be your best option.

Be sure they are MFI (Made for iPhone) certified. Plenty of reputable brand available.

I have this cable and ... it's my favorite cable. Was a lot of fun watching Anker periscope a video of them towing a car with this cable back in the day.
