For me it's the sport loop that came with my series 5. Like your braided solo loop, it's comfortable, breathable and secure. When I originally bought my watch I'd planned on buying a Milanese loop for occasions when a fabric band was too casual, but the sport loop was so comfortable that I never did.

I find the solo loop the most comfortable, but they keep breaking on me. My second choice is the Nike Sports band, for the same reasons @Howard2k said above. I haven't tried the braided solo loop, as $100 for a band is a bit too much for me, but maybe I'll pay an extra $50 for that the next time I upgrade to a new watch.

Are you planning on upgrading to the 9?

I use the sport band that came with my watch, because it's quite comfortable, is easy to keep clean, and goes with the Watch. It just works.

I've had three AWs, and did the same with each. I've never really considered purchasing a different band.

Another strong vote for the braided solo loop.
It must be popular because I was in a meeting a couple of weeks ago where 5 of the six people in the room had this band, and all in the same color!

It’s tricky for me. I wear my link bracelet the large majority of the time, but I do occasionally switch to a sport band for some sports. I could just wear the sport band all the time, so it’s technically more versatile, but the link bracelet is the one that I enjoy the most.

well if only one strap it has to be durable to wear and tear , no leather or woven bands will be durable enough to sustain wear and tear and not deform or loose color.

So it will have to be a silver stainless steel strap , like the SLB , and specifically silver as other coated stainless steel ones would not be good and concealing scratches

The only one I currently wear. Stainless steel milanese. For it's nearly infinite adjustability. Before I favored leather. But that was sometimes hit or miss on the notch spacing. Though I never really had leather for AW to begin with. I had leather for past watches. But after using the Milanese band. I never liked other bands because of the lack of nearly infinite adjustment for comfort.

Over the past year, I’ve become a huge fan of the Alpine Loop. I’m probably the only one who will vote for this as my “only one” band, but there it is. I love how it’s surprisingly light, yet feels substantial. It’s appropriately rugged looking for the Ultra but looks classy enough for all but the dressiest of wear. It breathes well and is more adjustable than the Sport Band. It may not be the best at anything, but it is surprisingly good-or-better at everything. It won’t be for most people, but for me the Alpine Loop is my go-to.
