Summer and any before after summer months it’s been the Nike band with holes in it for me, much more breathable than other bands. I agree about the more precise fitting of the velcro type bands and I like them, BUT, and this is sadly a big But, I just can’t use that band much due to the weird wiggle / shimmy motion to get it on and off. If and when the watches don’t have to be charged so dang often, I tell myself I’ll revisit that band because I do like it. But getting it on and off more than once a day is just too annoying.
Also all the normal “elastomer”? Bands that the watches come with are fine for me too. Coming from several years of Fitbit bands, apple watch bands may not be perfect but they’re far above and beyond fitbit build quality.
EDIT this is the one I meant, Nike Sport Ironstone, it’s a great one for anyone who wants to minimize the sweatiness feeling under the band. If other folks know even better or more breathable ones I’d love to hear about them too!

Use the Spanish International band. Doesn't stretch or break, always the right fit due to the velcro, just throw in the wash to clean. Unfortunately the matching watch face fails to load.
I bought the Braided Solo Loop and it felt fantastic at first, really good fit, comfortable and good to look at. But over time it started to stretch when taking my watch off and putting it back on to the point where it wouldn’t sit properly on my wrist. During workouts such as running it wouldn’t always track my activity so I went back to the original Sport Loop.
I still wear the Solo Loop for day to day activity but not for workouts. Disappointed that Apple won’t replace or refund after 14 days; it was only after 14 days that I noticed it wasn’t right.
For me since I sweat a lot and am fairly active, it’s a tie between the Nomad sport band and the Nike sport band. Since I wear the Nomads one more often now, that’ll be my pick if I can only choose one (slight comfort edge over the Nikes).
I’ve been using a wide nylon band from Tefeca purchased on Amazon. Bought a few weeks after I got the watch in November. Haven’t used the band that came with the watch since.
