Your caps lock seems to be stuck. How embarrassing for you.

P.S: I ordered a Space Gray Sport at X:05 and I'm still in the mid-May window so get over yourself.

Hey man . I am just frustrated is all..No other apple launch has been like this .When i preordered my phone..i got it on launch day..when i ordered my ipad..got it on launch day..i am just super annoyed is all..

While I know I got the window, it does sting a bit when I see folks who never even pre-ordered get guaranteed delivery promises (the developers offer). I would've been completely happy had Apple said "hey, the pinks are totally delayed, here's a white or blue, we'll ship you a pink band later on". Even if they tried to charge me for the extra band, I would've been okay.

Again, you said yourself you were in the first window. That means Apple has until May 8 to deliver before it's even considered "delayed". The fact that they didn't offer to ship you someone else's order so you could get yours faster means they probably intend to get you your order as soon as possible, and before May 8.

As for the developers, most likely they have 5,000-10,000 (or who knows) watches they specifically set aside before launching to offer to developers. Even if they didn't, maybe when they saw how fast preorders filled up and realized developers weren't going to have them until June, they pulled some aside. Getting watches into the hands of as many developers as possible as quickly as possible benefits everyone. Apple has more apps to offer, developers can get their product out faster, and consumers with the watch get more apps to use. Developers have to pay to be in the program and they still have to pay for their watches, it may be a slight advantage to them but it's not like Apple showing up at someone's house on Saturday and physically taking a watch back from someone to mail to someone else.

Now look at releases 6 years ago, they set a date and they delivered.

I encourage everyone to look further back to things like the original G4 PowerMac launch. Now that was a complete disaster! Apple has had a mixed bag when it has comes to product launches. Even more recently, the iPhone 5s (an iterative update) was completely flubbed with no preorders being offered and very limited launch inventory.

NOBODY WHO ORDERED A PINK WATCH..GOT IT SHIPPED..thats my point..

Or maybe you just haven't heard from anyone who ordered a pink one and has had it ship. Do you honestly think Apple didnt manufacture ANY pink watches for launch day? If they didn't intend to actually sell any, why even offer them? The most likely explanation is that certain models are sitting in a different warehouse or shipping via FedEx instead of UPS and the people who are getting them haven't found out they are shipping yet even though they will get them tomorrow.

Just curious, did you get the KOD email?

I think the issue here is that it's 2015. One would hope that as time goes on this would improve drastically.

All i know is whats in the thread. I am sure there are 10000's of other people who ordered them and perhaps some have gotten a shipment. I am just super frustrated and annoyed..and i am allowed to talk my **** and be mad..

One of things about people getting up early for the preorders is the fact of getting them earlier than the majority. Getting you watch a couple of weeks later than the 24th because Apple could not anticipate what was popular and unpopular is just not the same. The new retail boss has really failed on her market research

Is it not just worth selling the watch make some quick money before the other 2nd wave countries come on line and then buying one that will be delivered a few weeks later. After all the cool factor has gone if you did not have it on the first day.

My brother in law will have the White band and I am still waiting for the space grey, will I really think the think is cool after listening to him what it does for two weeks. So actually thinking of ebaying my grey space. First to have is everything 2nd to have is just the same as being 1st loser

Actually it was promised, this is exactly why Apple pulled mentions of the 24 off their website.

No this is wrong… What they pulled off their website was that watches would be available to order in store on the 24th. It has always said that the first online orders would be filled between the 24th and the 8th.

We dont know that to be true. You are assuming things you have no knowledge of.

I preordered my iPhone 6 Plus. It launched September 19. I got mine the first week of October and was fine with it because that was when I was promised.

I think we can:

Models that are only being shipped if ordered before 3 minutes after it opened

People that were told in they would need to wait for June now having their orders dispatched.

Suggests that research did not predict well what people wanted. For this type of product with various versions, the initial research tells you the product mix that should be developed. Seems they have severely overestimated some versions and the underestimated others.

That suggests that market research and model were very poor. Remember, all that is different is the metallic case and the strap, not the actual electronic part which is standard.

I got my order in at 12:03am and i got the email of death, so don't think they are anywhere in the USA. In fact, its probably true that no 38mm space grey have made it to the USA at all because not one has even been charged yet, while the UK has gotten some shipped out. I can't believe it if Apple screws us loyal folk who got up at 3 am or interrupted our honeymoon celebratory dinner to order the watch on their iPhones. Don't give me the delivery window excuse either.

The delivery window is so that people who ordered a bit later get theirs a bit later, not that people who ordered ONE SPECIFIC MODEL get screwed up the ass while everyone else gets at least some of theirs shipped out. What a total kick in the nuts, Apple really punched us in the gut on this one. It just shows apple has ABSOLUTELY no idea what it means to be an apple fan any more, and they have totally taken us for granted. Why they chose to screw over one whole sect of people rather than make a bit less 42mm and throw us a bone, I don't know, but Jobs' death has certainly made things worse.

38mm sgs = 38mm SURELY GOT SCREWED

Apple has no idea what it means to be a true fan if they decided to completely not deliver two types of watches and yet everyone else gets some. They forgot that early adopters like us actually talk to each other.

Yes!!

I love your positive thinking and you're absolutely right.

I can't tell you how many times I didn't pre-order an iPhone online because of the shipping times minutes after the it went on sale...only to goto the Apple Store and line up while reading threads of people saying they received their shipping notifications overnight.

In Fact, Now that I think of it. When I ordered the iPhone I didn't get a shipment notification or even a charge until a hour after I received the phone.

EOD here for my 42 SG ordered at 3:03:51. Still Processing Item. I've given up hope that I will see it tomorrow. Maybe next week sometime.

I got the EOD but..I ordered two watches

- 38mm White sports edition (12:05am PST email Confirmation, Shipped)
- 38mm Space Gray Sports edition (12:04am PST Email confirmation, processing, no movement....)

Email of Death Recipients: Post Order Status Updates Here

For those of us in the first wave of orders (4/24 - 5/8), let's keep one another updated of status updates in this thread. The other 4/24 - 5/8 thread is depressing with people discussing shipping details when we're stuck in "processing items."

Use this template:

Date/Time Ordered:

Let's try not to flood this with a lot of comments unrelated to order status changes; bookmark it and update as our orders progress. I'll start.

Model: 42mm Stainless Steel w/Milanese Loop
Date/Time Ordered: April 10 at 3:07 Eastern Time

ALL versions were sold out after a few minutes of release. That is not a market research problem. You are just guessing at best.

We don't know why some people are getting their watches and others are not. No one was predicting the watch would make the iphone and ipad releases look like they don't even matter.

just wondering. When do they expect the next shipments in. If they had so much in storage in China would they not have moved them already? so suggests that they are making them on the fly.

Since they have filled so few orders for some models, e.g. the space grey ones (both 42mm and 38mm), I am wondering just when those will be fulfilled.

They had the 6 months of preorders plus the two weeks since the preorders to tweet and it looks like they have been so far out on some it makes you wonder whether they have the ability to fulfil some of the orders that are outstanding particularly if it is just one model over multiple countries. In this case the space grey seems to be the same problems all over the place.

Plus they are talking of preorders beginning the 8th of May for 22 other countries. I am not sure Apple will make it.

I originally posted this as a new thread because I wanted to have a thread absent of the bickering and arguing and just a place to post status updates, but the mods merged it with this one which is already a ****storm because the people who parrot "They said 4/24 - 5/8, not delivery on 4/24," ruin this entire forum experience for people who just want to stay up-to-date on status changes. So can we please leave the bickering in other threads and stick to ONLY status updates here?
