If it is in good condition, you can try and trade it in at Best Buy for a ridiculous amount. It may be time to say goodbye. (You get paid with a best buy gift card, and you can buy eBay gift cards in store so if you get sad you can always replace it someday for a fraction of the cost, or just upgrade to something new.)

Hooray! That's the way to fund some money for a trip to the USA ...

Meanwhile, my trusty latest-model iBook G4 is worthless. Thanks a lot, Best Buy. ;)

You could even buy up a few good condition iMac G5s on eBay and make a dollar off Best Buy. Someone with a stash of 9 or 10 iMac G5s could fund the purchase of a new iMac Pro for a fraction of the asking $5K price tag. :)

Looking at this for some other older Macs... My mom's 2007 iMac stopped working (we think it's hard drive or something), but if it's labeled as "not working" it's worth $0, but if it's "good" it's $60. Think it's worth trying? :p

They do test out the electronics to make sure they power on, aren't icloud locked, etc.

So, why does best buy want a G5, if the Intels are worth less? Even in 'poor' condition they're worth almost $300...

I can only imagine it is an outdated price. Someone forgot to zero it out like all the others. I’m sure the moment a customer walks in with a 13 year old iMac G5 and expects to receive $558, they will be quick to remove the pricing from their website.
