    Hi there,

I have been posting here and have come across people with some repair issues and I am trying to see how many people have this issue.

I am wondering who has sent their Laptop (or desktop?) into the Memphis, TN AppleCare (FlexTronics) for their repair and if it has come back in horrible cosmetic condition or has led to more problems.

I would love to see how many people have had problems with this facility as it has given me difficulty in the past.

I sent my macbook there and was without it for less than 48 hours. It came back with some slight scratches, but nothing big.

We all know I had problems with Flextronics! If I ever have to send another Mac in for repair and it comes up with Flextronics as the repair center, I'll cancel and keep putting it through until a new repair center is selected.

I'll give a brief description of my experience.

Had a "Late 2006" MacBook Core 2 Duo. Purchased at the beginning of March of this year. The SuperDrive went bad and the top case had some discoloration, and a couple of keys squeaked on the keyboard. Called Apple and it went in for repair about a month ago. System was sent to Flextronics in Memphis.

Came back 2 days later. Top case was replaced. Mouse button no longer worked. SuperDrive went ignored. Scratches all over the outer casing.

System went back out for a second repair. Outer casing was replaced.. and then scratched again. Mouse button still didn't work and the SuperDrive had been ignored again... but somehow sounded and acted worse.

Was going to be sent out for a third "try". Diana S. called me the day after setting up the 3rd repair attempt and said she was just going to have my system replaced. Dropped my old MacBook off at FedEx a week ago today and had my new MacBook in my hands this last Tuesday.

    All is good now :)

I just really hope the cost of the replacement came out of Flextronic's pocket as she told me it would.
