I hope this is rare, or maybe I did it by accident, but I don't think so.

I pre-ordered the watch using Touch ID on the Apple Store app. I changed my shipping address to my work address, and I very specifically remember double checking the billing address. Of course it was 3AM, so, you never know.

Anyway, my billing address ALSO changed to my work address, and I just called support to get them to change it (which they did without issue). My info in Apple Pay had changed the default billing to my work address as well (which I could fix myself).

I had ordered a MacBook Pro via the online store (in a browser) a couple weeks before, and that had the correct Billing address, and I had that delivered at work too. Since the Apple Watch order, I ordered a MagSafe to MS2 converter, again from the browser, and that one was also fine. So I either fat fingered something when I ordered or there was a hiccup.

I had the same issue happen to me. I had it shipped to my work, and the billing changed to that as well and used apple pay, so I couldn't catch it before. When everyones cards started getting charged, I checked my status and was able to change the payment (as it was denied for wrong billing address) Sitting in preparing for shipping now though!

Same issue here. Discovered it a few days ago when checking order status. Called Apple and they switched it for me. Then checked my Passbook settings on my phone and saw that I needed to correct it there too.

Apple Store order status still shows it incorrectly, but my understanding from Apple is that the requested change will apply when it is processed.

This is why it's always a good idea to check this kinda stuff the day before. I have it being shipped to a different address than my billing. The day before pre-orders I added that address as my default in my account.

It was finding it wrong in Apple Pay that made me check my order. How pissed would you have been to get pushed to the end of the line because they had the wrong billing address?

Oh yeah I would've been really mad. I went ahead and changed the billing address in the settings app under apple pay. You can choose different billing/shipping address as you like. I would suggest to anyone to change it there to make sure the billing/shipping addresses are what you want before making any purchases with apple pay.

Same problem. I called Apple a couple times to make sure the billing address is correct (though they said it was changed, the info on the status update still shows the initial incorrect address). My card got a pending transaction yesterday so I think I am all good now.

I believe the Apple Pay default Billing Address is your work address (rather than asking you what the Billing Address is when you activate the card on Apple Pay). I didn't find this out until after placing my Apple Watch order, as well.

Anyway. I called Apple the same day, had them change it in their system, and I was assured that there would be no problem. The charge was just posted to my Apple Pay card yesterday, so ... I guess that's that!

Same thing happened with me. I used Apple Pay for my 42mm SS BSB and for some reason my debit card had my office address as my billing address. I called and changed it but the order details still show the original. However, I did call Apple again for a different question and one of the challenge questions the automated attendant asked to confirm it was me was my billing zip and I gave them the new/correct one which was a match.

I did have an original pending transaction even with the wrong address and I do use that card all the time for Apple Pay and it's never been denied anywhere else.

If you ordered with Touch ID, maybe check billing address

I was worried about that and decided that it was safer to log on to the website to change the shipping. Looks like I made the right choice. I'm glad they fixed it for you guys!

I think I found a way to fix this going forward. Go to Passbook, on the card that you want to change the detail, click the little "i" at the bottom right. Then, scroll all the way down to the bottom, you can change the default billing address. I think after doing this once you pick the work address as your shipping address, this should not change the default home address. I tried that with another order and it works.

It wouldn't let me change it on the website, a popup came up with the 1-800-MY-APPLE number.

Yeah, that's actually what I noticed first, and fixed it there.

Seems like a rather idiotic Apple Pay bug.
