This is ONLY for 5G owners... For previous versions I would absolutely get the next version...

BUY the Next Ipod Touch? I cant justify a newer version... to do the SAME things I do now... Listen to music, use as iphone (talkatone app), cyclo computer, Stream CNBC...

What would MAKE you ???
GPS
Great Price ... 300 for 64GB 400 for 128 GB

WHat would not impresss you ??
A7 processor - NO things are running just fine under IOS 7
128 GB... NO Loooking at a classic IPOD with 160GB for 225....
Better camera NO I dont take pictures with it now...

i use mine for experimenting with jailbreak tweaks, and it runs iOS 6.1.2 very smoothly even jailbroken. i do not plan to update to iOS 7, and i won'y be upgrading to the 6th generation. i got my 5g for free from apple, so i didn't even really need it in the first place...

Yes I only bought a 16gb because there was no new model so if a new model came with all the latest features and 128gb I'm there I use my Touch every day

I would buy the next gen touch if it had a newer processor, better camera, battery indicator, digital compass, and better battery, with a 128GB option. Honestly if the screen got bigger that would also be a huge plus for me, but otherwise. I don't see much lag at all with the current touch on iOS 7. I can probably see the need to upgrade more so if iOS 8 slowed things down, and if the new touch had something like touch ID. (Like how Siri rolled out late for the iPod touch)

That would be freakin sweet but I doubt it'll ever happen. I think the iPod might be done getting major upgrades... They constantly want to make it thinner but to fit anything new in it would have to get fatter which they refuse to do...

The next iPod Touch version should definitely have a 64-bit chip. Otherwise, I don't plan to buy it.

That is the only reason I would buy it.

I will purchase a new iPod Touch when it comes with the following:
-Larger screen (possible up to 4.5'')
-FM Radio (without headphones)
-Improved speaker quality
-Slow motion camera (like the iPhone 5S)
-Better battery life
-Apple A7 chip
-More RAM
-GPS

Apart from that, right now the iPod Touch 5th Generation is perfect. :D
