Wonder what that means.. Deliveries starts on 14th means, people will get their device starting 14th.. OR by 14th.. OR they will start their process on 14th and actual delivery to customer will happen few days later??

Apple.. please be more specific please.. sorry, SIRI, when will iPhone 4s be delivere to customer?

You do know the difference between the words "shipped" and "delivered", right?

The phone will be shipped a couple of days before the 14th, so it will be delivered on the 14th.

Obviously, weather, signature upon delivery, backorders, etc. are unforeseen factors.

I am a courier at Fedex. Deliveries will be made on the 14th. Get your sick day ready.

Thanks, everyone. I liked your answer the best. Fabricated sick-day, here I come!

For people asking about having to sign. More than likely you will have to sign but typically you can put a note on the door telling FedEx/UPS to leave the package from whoever and then sign that. I personally don't plan on leaving my window.

It will be at the Fedex bays, probably 'locked' up and held until the 14th. Last year, mine arrived 3 days before it was delivered at my local distribution center. Apple has ways to keep product from hitting the streets before it wants.
