Half a pound. Heavy indeed, for a phone.

Holy moly, I just realized something: The iPhone 11 Pro Max weighs exactly twice as much as the iPhone SE, which weighs 113 grams. Perhaps to Apple, the 11 Pro Max is secretly the successor to the iPhone SE?

Yeah 18 grams, not sure how I'll manage.
For me the weight issue is not about myself being able to carry it, it's about how my pants are going able to carry it. At this rate my pants are going to drop lower ... and lower ...

Going to the gym won't help as you need a bigger belly to hold your pants with the new iPhone in it.

At this rate, soon an iPhone has to be carried inside a bag just like an iPad. Every man must carry a fanny pack... or a "manly" purse.

Even a half ounce difference on a phone makes a noticeable difference. I have a feeling that the people that don't see it as a big deal are people who don't spend a lot of time on their phones at a time. I know myself I am often holding and using my phone for one to two hours non stop at a time and believe me the extra weight adds up.

yep, or doesn’t bounce back and forth between phones and don’t realize what a huge difference there is between the 6 and the X.

So the iPhone 11 Pro Max is about 9% heavier than the iPhone XS Max. Not a huge deal but I can't help but think that if the 11 was 9% lighter they would probably have advertised it. It's not a trend yet, but it's worth discussing.

This doesn't mean anything to me as it's not in lbs.

C’mon, it’s not that hard. 1 pound is half a kilogram (or 500 grams) give or take - not exactly that but it helps you on the fly. Divide or multiply by 2 and you’ll get a ballpark figure.

Sort of like 1 foot is 1/3 of a meter, give or take.

Good. I'm a fan of heavy phones. Never understood the appeal of light and thin phones. As long as it doesn't turn into a literal brick in your pockets I'll be fine. Better yet, make it thicker and get rid of the camera bump altogether and fit a bigger battery in it. Win win & win.
