don't forget terabytes of video memory that is duplicated every time you think about something in the past, although it is choppy and low-res. image files and text files of every person you've ever met and can recall as well.

I'm efficient so...

a box fo 5-1/4 inch Double Density floppies would do just fine. I don't remember a lot of things..

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

Sci fi started this, the promise of immortality. Soon they said we will be able to download our brains into a computer and live forever. I still think that our thoughts are ram, our memories are like flash storage and the HD represents our gut urges, emotions and the like.

I forget names quickly, i dont remmber words to songs i listen to a lot and i cant tell you what i had for lunch 3 days ago but i can sure tell you everything about world of warcraft. I know every squar inch in the game, i know every instance, every mob and what they drop and i know how much a gray item or a random drop from a mob is worth on teh auction house.

Maybe i play to much wow? na

I would say my brain is a 200GB 10,000 RPM hard drive.

Pauses to flash the thread

I figure mine must be a Thumb Drive, and I think it's shoved up my butt. But it's still good for flashing.

My brain would be...

Googol TB of SSD Storage as my boot drive. Googolplex TB as my secondary drive. Its called the FUSION of ETERNITY.

Currently available -- my entire memory on one hard drive

You can only remember things that you sense, and sound+sight are by far the most memorable senses.

I can make a movie of my life at about 250 MB/hr (720P, stereo, and 10FPS). Assuming 16 hours a day, that's about 1.5 TB/year. But most things are forgotten. If I only remember 1% of everything I see or hear (over time that's probably optimistic!) I'd say that a 2 TB hard drive would be more than sufficient.
