So recently the famous jailbreak app iFile has been allowed to use the API from dropbox and integrate its features... however it seems with limitations.

I have been trying for DAYS to figure out how to make my downloaded files, currently located in /var/mobile/media/downloads, automatically go into the dropbox folder found in iFile. I have tried symlinks every way possible... I have even tried to redirect all my downloads from all the different apps directly into the dropbox folder, but it says its not found.

I need to figure out a way to link my downloads folder to the dropbox folder so that when i download say, an email attachment, it goes either directly to my downloads folder AND my dropbox, or even just to the dropbox folder.

I have tried pkgbackup and datadeposit, both great programs, but only sync the folders that they have been created to sync, with no flexibility.

Thanks for the help!

You should go ahead and move this topic to the iPad Hacks section, then someone could probably help you out. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to help you on that (I didn't even know iFile had a Dropbox function, good to know!).

Seriously? No one?

Seriously?! How am I the only one wanting to do this? No one can help??

you can always just move your downloaded files manually.. Just copy/paste them into the dropbox folder. I do not believe dropbox supports downloading directly to your acct
