My god..now I'm sorry that I even posted the post up.

The "See something, say something" pic is a satirical take on a real campaign. It's just to show that while most NYers assume that the south Asian guy is probably just going to work, some "perpetually frightened racist old lady" will always see him as a terrorist.
This is the same old lady that will scream "BOMB!!!" on a rush hour train when she sees your 4S with the clear glass on it.

Now, If she saw that Pakistani guy using the "clear glass" 4S, she would absolutely shoot him.
And since the NYPD has deemed it OK to shoot an unarmed, innocent man 25 times....if you were scared. The old lady would get away with it.

(Can you tell that I'm black....?)

Well, being a hardware nut and a PC modder...I have to give props out! Im most interested in an aluminum 4S back. Ive seen some great ones for the 4, but am curious as to signal strength on the 4S. Wouldnt things be the same as the antennas are located on the band? Chime in MR friends

Just bought one, though I paid only $28 total, 15 for the transparent back, and then 7 for the liberation kit, then 5 for shipping. http://cnn.cn

Point taken. But my experience is that most NY'rs are in the "yeah..., whatever..." category, but there is still paranoia floating around for sure.

I've seen profiling in many forms, even before that term was being used, including white guys pulled over (because they were white) in a particular neighborhood while the cops accused them of being there to buy drugs but were really just trying to get around a traffic jam and cut through a neighborhood. And legally immigrated Latinos on Long Island who are afraid to drive because of fear the cops will pull them over, or take work in certain places because of attacks that have taken place.

But this stuff goes on all around the world, not just NY.

And... you're right... at a quick glance that battery could be misconstrued as some kind of device other than a phone. Combined with a bit of profiling, potential instant problem.

I'm an Iranian, so i guess buying this is not such a good idea, i don't wanna get beaten by the police, Again!!! being brown sucks.

2 things.
The Li-ion made me think of OS X Lion. I dunno why, just did.

And that pic with the person is it is extremely racist. If the police put out something like that in Australia so many would protest in the streets it would not be funny. I'm glad that kind of thing is not present in Australia.

True, but then again you didn't have your country's very foundation rocked to the core where thousands of innocent people died on 9/11 either. just sayin

...and then they would remove the sticks from their arses, replace sticks with a minimal sense of humor, chuckle at what is obviously meant to be a joke then move on.

Installed it last night. I didn't think I'd like the look of the battery judging from the photo, but it's actually very cool looking with the neatly printed warning lettering and "Liion."
