Is there anybody here using this app and willing to share how it works?

I just bought it last night so I can keep track of my SMS on my email and can't make it work properly, can't find any solution online, the website is off and the dev doesn't answer the support questions.

I'm really starting to regret my choice.
I appreciate any help.

If I recall it was only 99 cents so not sure what there is to "really start regretting"

Top section in setting is self explanatory - just flip the toggles you want, enter the email address for alerts to be forwarded to and give the various alerts custom subject names (if desired)

Bottom pane is fairly simple - you must give the app permission to send out the alerts via your email account - so your email address in top line, password in next, smtp carrier in 3rd line ("smtps://smtp.gmail.com" for example if using Gmail) and port number in bottom line.

All the info for the bottom pane can be obtained by going to Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars then open up the mail account you wish to use to send the alerts - all the needed info is already there in various windows.

Screenshots of setup are shown in the Cydia app page.

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that doesn't help because that's exactly what I know about how it works.
Also, I'm not regretting because of the 1.99 I paid last year, I'm regretting because it is not working and I'm wasting my time trying to figure out something that is supposed to be simple as you just said on your post.
I'm using iCloud on my device, not gmail and doesn't work in any way, even adding extra smtp servers on my iCloud email settings, the old but still working smtp servers apple used to use.

So you see this is not just another case of a dumb user trying to set a simple apple. It may be a simple app and I may be a dumb user but regarding this one, not really. Haha

My guess is iCloud uses a "token" for verification in lieu of password.
This hack likely doesn't support that type of verification.

Of course you could just open a gmail account and use it solely for sending out iForward alerts.

I do have a gmail account but I won't use it on my device. My iCloud account is where my personal stuff is. According to infos I found online, it does support iCloud, just don't know what I'm missing.

Anyway... thanks.

Over a week since my first contact with the iForward dev, Ryan... whatever and still no answer.
This is when I understand why Apple keep everything so “closed”, to avoid devs like that who take your money and disappear.
