Hello. Uhm, I'm new here and I don't know if this is the right forum, but, I have some questions about Ifunbox.

    1) Can I get a version that doesn't jailbreak my iPhone

    2) Can you use it to downgrade apps? If so, how?

    3) What is Ifunbox and what does it do?

    Help will be appreciated. :)

Aww. Along with a side question, is there any apps or hacks or something to downgrade apps without a jailbreak? :(

    No

Edit: I should qualify my answer. iFunBox can be used to drop .deb files into phone, then the installer in iFile to install, but you would have to remove the newer version first and would have to have the .deb file of older version. iFunBox itself cannot manipulate iPhone firmware.

You can downgrade apps using iTunes if your iTunes library still has the older version downloaded on it

You would need an app to extract them from your backup. There are paid apps which do this.

    I don't have a backup. I'm still rockin' 6.1.2. I'm actually pretty nervous about jumping to 7.1.2.

What do you mean you don't have a backup ? iTunes or iCloud will back up your phone contents

I think it may sync with iCloud, but I almost never sync with my PC. But currently on my iPhone is jailbroken iOS 6.1.2. I want to go to 7.1.2, but want to stay fresh. The only thing I want to save is pictures (already done), podcasts (done, itunes) and save my messages....which I think iFunBox can do.

It won't work. The database structure will not allow you to just drag and drop the SMS.db file from iOS 6 to iOS 7

What you'll need to do is make an iTunes backup, upgrade to iOS 7 using iTunes, restore from backup

From there, you can extract the SMS.db file from the backup with a program

Otherwise, jailbreak it with the pangu jailbreak. Access the file system and get the SMS.db file

That SMS.db file will be compatible with iOS 7.1.2

From there, you can restore to a clean 7.1.2 version and manually bring your SMS.db file back

I've written about how to do this process quite a few times. And one not too long ago so you could try looking for that too if you want a step by step tutorial

    Curious:

I can't seem to access the hidden files for when I want to place a bite sms theme into the bite sms folder even after installing the acf2add file. Is this because it's not "compatible" (for the lack of a better word) with pangu's jailbreak?

Running a jailbroken iphone btw using pangu on 7.1.1

I doubt it - reference the thread for me.
I reviewed all of your posts here on MacRumors and don't see a single one about having a "bricked" phone.

Besides, except for 2G and flashing a modified baseband to a 3GS with a Toshiba bb chip, you cannot brick an iPhone (unless you have a sudden hardware failure)
