So I am ditching Earthlink and moving my domains to a new server and also want to transfer the registration of the domains.

The asshats have the domain registration locked.

I've been on hold for 35 minutes.

I can't wait till they ask me why I am leaving Earthlink. 😀

I had the same problems when I moved my domain from Earthlink years ago. Many phone calls and faxes later, it was finally transfered. What a PITA, though.
 
Please always remember and don't ever forget....

Set up your own server! Get a T1 and an XServe! Actually you won't need that much to host your own server, but it's worth looking into.
 
Rant of the Day™ is a good idea. One suggestion though is to write the date in title. I'd had to respond to an old rant.

DreamHost, on the recommendations of several fine people here. 😀

I gave up with Earthlink after an hour on hold.

Wait till I get a hold of them in the morning. Stay posted. 😀 😱
 
dont sleep... then go to bed 2 hours before a really loud alarm goes off then once your kinda awake before coffee call them and make sure the phone is on extra loud.


just will give you that extra push to really tell 'em your mind
 
rant of the day would be real nice seeing how everyone had to Vent...alot of people doing this now so we might as well do it. i was about to vent but i slept on it...thats always good.

Good, but change it to "Bank of India" and change the flag colors.

The B of A employees who work across the street from me (the B of A Technology Center) live in constant fear that their jobs will be outsourced to India, as so many already have.

Or do what I did... find an old Dell Pentium III, get Road Runner, and use Linux.

Lasted me a good while until I switched to Bluehost. Now I can't blame myself when my server goes down (which is good, because I like to have someone to blame!)
