Congrats on your new iPod =D I boguht mine recently too, and am loving it.

I don't know if it's any help or anything, but you could have bought one off eBay, new. I did and saved $250 AUS. Just a tip for any future Touch owners who are reading this, too.

Grats again though :) Try out Tap Tap Revenge with 2.0, its awesome.

I bought a refurb for $299. I plan on buying the 2.0 upgrade off iTunes when I get it.

Yup, I feel your pain (or rather my bank account does!) - I think most of us are guilty to the core of this particular crime!! :D

I laugh when I see people say they are gonna pay for the upgrade. Simply because iTunes will give you it for free if you restore the device.

It also offers you the chance to download it after a fresh install (including deletion of the itunes folder from music) of iTunes 7.7 click on download only, hit restore when downloaded and boom 2.0 on your touch for free...... apple slipped up there lol

theres no hacking or warez involved as it is all through apple's own software

Can you post back when you get it and tell me if it has any scratches? I still have 60 days to return my 8gig to costco and pick up the 16GB refurb for the same price.

    Refurb 16gb Ipod Touch

I just received my refurb. 16gb Ipod Touch today. Flawless exterior. Immediately bought a case and screen protector to try and conserve it.

I purchased the 2.0 upgrade. Wasn't sure if I should have jailbroken it though. I'm still learning about the whole jailbreak thing. I don't have a MAC. I know I know. lol Ya I have a PC.

Did I make a mistake on purchasing the 2.0 upgrade??

I've bought refurbed from Apple as well. I had no idea they were not new.
Good purchase. Enjoy the iPod touch. I know I love mine.

Haha. My girlfriend is thankfully patient with me and my love for my Touch.

She has learned to embrace my hidden inner geek.

Well Apple still got my money for the 3g 16gb iPhone so I guess Im a sucker to :D

After getting the majority of my Apple products refurb, I don't know why anyone would get anything else (unless it's just not available refurb yet).

Funny, but you shouldn't call someone that on here. Edit to "kids"?

Granted, 13 and 16 y.o.'s shouldn't BE on MacRumor forums, but whatever...

Edit: Ah, I eat my words. 13 is the minimum age for MacRumors. Sorry.
