Ignore tags in News threads?

Are there any plans to allow ignoring of certain tags in the News forums other than having to click into the thread and ignore?

For example, a common thing I have noticed is I really don't care to see anything tagged as "Apple Arcade Guide"

No, it's more of ignoring threads that are tagged by an official Macrumors staff in the "News" forum.

Let's say I want to ignore all MR articles tagged with "Fortnite" (scroll to the bottom here: https://www.macrumors.com/2020/08/21/epic-games-sought-app-store-side-deal/).

Currently I have to visit each "Fortnite" thread (e.g. https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...o-lawsuit-apple-says-in-court-filing.2250965/) and then press "Ignore". It would be nice if we could just automatically ignore MR staff articles with specific tags.

right, but where are you seeing those threads? In the MacRumors News Discussion thread list? In New Posts? All the above?

The news threads aren't properly tagged in Xenforo -- but could be. However, there is not presently a way to ignore "tags". There may be a way around that. But I'm just curious what your normal flow is, in terms of how these threads end up showing up for you.

Yeah I am primarily seeing those threads in the MacRumors News Discussion thread list and in New Posts.

To reiterate, these news threads show up when I:
1. Click on "MacRumors News Discussion" link under the "News And Article Discussion" header.
2. Click on "New posts" tab in the "Forum list | Trending | New Posts | New Threads | Spy" tabs

Couldn't you ignore it the old fashioned way, i.e., just scroll by until you see a story that you prefer?

Yeah that is what I do today, or I manually ignore threads (which happen to share a similar tag). This is just a feature request and seems like a reasonable ask to me, especially since mods here preach on ignoring threads
