Hi guys, what do you think the chances are of apple implementing IGZO screens into their next generation of rMBPs? From what Ive read they are higher quality and more reliable screens.

well, they better not. because i'm looking forward to these newer models and i'm not facing Rev. A products again. begone the days of image retention.

Afaik one of the main benefits will be brighter screens or less work for the backlight. Therefore it seems quite likely that they would show up in mobile devices.

The major issue is that it is only tech from one company. Apple in the past always tried to source thinks from two at least. If they go IGZO, they would loose that benefit and could only switch every other generation.
That is why I think other companies will use it first (HTC One does afaik) and eventually Apple will jump in.
