I'm just wondering if anyone here has any information as to whether Apple is implementing IKEv2 in iOS 7. I've been considering pulling the trigger on a 6/5S when it's released this fall for my personal phone, but the Z10 that my firm got me has really spoiled me in terms of performance over secure connection.

Not to my knowledge, but they are introducing per app VPN with iOS 7 (not sure how that works). Considering that BlackBerry's future is uncertain (at best), I would personally avoid purchasing one of their phones. Not sure what type of support to expect in the future.

I don't feel their future is particularly uncertain. Despite their recent miss, which had mostly to with legacy model abandonment in the face of their new platform, they've continued to improve their cash position.

Whatever the case, per-app implementation of VPN is not helpful if they continue to use outdated protocols.
